mpf file

is there a possibility to convert ngc files to mpf ????
all that google can help me is with national geographic documentaries, not really what I am looking for

am not really into all that, am fully experimenting so sounds all like latin to me ..will ask and answer you tomorrow.. other machine here is a Fagor 8030 running on .pim file

Probably they can take ordinal Gcode, then just rename the file...

The code from the file, that you've send me in PM looks like ordinal gcode. Try just to rename the file and load it in your machine.

I got it wrong and sended you one that worked already, sorry, here s a simple compass i made in inkscape and put it into ngc file, can you
give me your well respected opinion??

What was wrong? Any errors? Or wrong movements?

Try to add G90 code to the top of the code. It defines that all coordinates are in absolute values.

I.E.:

Hello there
I finally managed to engrave my first simple paths with inkscape on the cnc, with a Little help of a friend..
the only Problem according to him, was that the machine, running on Siemens Sinumerik 802D SL.. had Problems with reading everything
between brackets ( ) in the cgode file...
So I had to delete all that manualy.. Is there like a Kind of program who can do that for me???
that would save a lot of time for me

you can add to additional postprocessor
regex(r"\(.*\)","");
this will remove any of () and all the content between them.

Had another try at it, with the additional stuff unfortunately in the note pad the brackets and their Content are still there ...
the post-ptocessor have to be set at None???

Two things.
It seems that postprocessor does not affect Header and Footer. You can change them as it said in the standard header or footer:
(Using default footer. To add your own footer create file "footer" in the output dir.)

Second - recheck that you are opening correct file, there's active option that adds numeric suffix...
I've tried the same postprocessor and it removed all () exept header and footer.
