Toolpath not saving to a file?

Still experimenting with this code on Windows XP (gcodetools v1.7). Before, I could save a toolpath to a file just fine. I must have screwed up a setting since now, no matter what I do, the toolpath is shown (and looks cool) but isn't saved to a file.

In my "preferences" location, I have "File" set to "output.ngc" and "Directory" set to "c:\".

Any idea why the file isn't saved anymore?

Just realized that I can save if I do a "Path to Gcode" but I can't when I do an "Area" operation. So, what could stop an Area operation from saving?

IMHO Area operation only draw vectors, you need select tool, orientation points and proceed "path to gcode" with, or without contour

Aha! Gotcha. I was confused since the Area menu also has a Preferences section with a file-output name and location section...

Area menu have "Path to gcode" tab also, so Preferences relates to this tab only

Yep. Area function does not actually export Gcode it just generate paths that could be exported to Gcode by using Path to Gcode.
