hello,

i want to create a crown gear drive so that my motor lies orthogonally to my wheel (which will also be the bog crown wheel)
something like the one on the right side of this picture but i want to mill the bumps using a second layer.
All has to be small since my big wheel must not be bigger than 3-4cm, my normal bit is of 1mm size.



inkscape gears aren't made for milling. when i lose 1mm on the edges, I fear that it won't fit anymore.
did anybody ever try this?

hi, thanks this helped me building some interesting gears- even if i fear they won't last very long since they're made of wood.
