Starting from Scratch, Windows XP installed

I have my computer working again.
Operating system windows XP 32bit.

The only thing installed, XP and misc.
I installed inkscape 0.91 It worked fine. After that things went sideways for me. I was unable to load and execute the GCode tools without multiple errors.

2 weeks later..

I am frustrated and have decided to ask for a little assistance loading all the necessary programs, scripts and files for "inkscape GCode tools" step by step to work properly.

I purposely set my reset point to for my computer to a point before I started installing program.
Starting over is easier than trying to figure out where I went wrong.
When reset I will install:
1. InkScape 0.91
2. Latest version of Python for my system
3. Download but not open the latest Ver. of GCode tools.
Latest stable version Gcodetools 1.7 gcodetools.tar.gz

Is there anything I am missing at this point?

I am poor/suck at programming and scripts. I excel in designing and fabrication.
This is all for a 3040a cnc mill that I have not used yet for what I purchased it for.

Any assistance getting this installed correctly will be greatly appreciated.

So far the dump and reinstall everything is working. I'd post a screen shot showing Gcode/tools and text box are all working now but that particular JPEG does not want to be vizable to load here.

Back to the tutorials to see if I can generate a little GCode.

How to fix this? Is there something I need to add? Trudging along.

I beating my way through this one perimeter at a time.
I getting closer, everything is in the mach3 program and cutting, BUT, the smoothing effect was to much when getting rid of the splines, so the squares are being cut as rounded squares a bummer, but its progress.

This is the end result I working on. A 9" disk with 36 squares and 1 shaft hole. EMS was so much easier but learning something new is always the way it goes for me.

With 4 programs I have my Gcode basics for my disc.
My only issue is with "Modify Path", spline issues in the squares. It works, but not correctly yet, the squares are rounded after modifying. Any suggestions?
I'll keep trudging on through the fog.

I found the setting for my size issue in the MACH3 CNC settings MM or Inch. The ShapeOKo (http://www.shapeoko.com/wiki/index.php/ ... s_Tutorial) tutorial Gave me the steps to complete the rotor and generate usable Gcode.
This is the completed "9 rotor disc" components which does work size wise on CNC machine in display mode. Time for some wood to test.
My next step is to duplicate everything to complete the disc openings.
I finally got it!

here are the settings that seem to help you with rounded squares...

First, why are you using XP?

Second, where are those General Logic Configuration dialogs?

When I purchased the 3040 Chinese CNC mill, I had 3 choices of operating systems to run the machine, XP, WIN 7, and win 2000. I like the XP operating system so that's what I chose.

To be honest I have never seen a dialog box like that.
I did find it though, nothing is adjusted from factory settings.

I found the issue with the Squares. My error, my squares were not squares, I had hit a node tab and altered it. After redrawing the square the issue was resolved.
