self intersecting shape is the figure 8. In the middle of the 8 the
lines cross over each other. Imagine a path in the shape of an 8 and
you are walking along it. At one point the outside is on your left and
another point the outside is on your right. There is no rational way to
cut this shape. SheetCam tries but the results will almost undoubtedly
not be what you are after.
