Keep the speed same for laser cutting

I am trying to use Gcodetools for laser cutting.
When doing tiny curves, the letter a or number 0 for example, the software lowers the speed. Therefore the laser burns too hard. I want the device to keep the same speed for all the time. How can this be done?
Any other tips for using gcodetools with alser cutter?
